How to find a laptop motherboard part number is one of the questions asked by newcomers in the laptop repairing field. All branded laptop motherboards like Acer, Dell, Lenovo and etc.
They do not manufacture their own motherboards. They used a third-party company to design a laptop motherboard to build their own laptop.
The entire third-party laptop motherboard manufacturer called it an OEM company/manufacturer. You may think, What is the difference between OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) and ODM (Original Design Manufacturer company.
Difference Between OEM and ODM
The OEM design company does the manufacturing of a product. But it does not include product design and research.
