Realtek, Broadcom, and Atheros are the main manufacturer of network chips. Network chips work on 3 volts and require 25mhz crystal to generate a clock.

Firstly, PCH sends a PCI-E signal to the network chip. The network chip also receives PLTRST signal, 3.3 volts signal, and also 25mhz crystal signal.
Secondly, the network chip sends the TXD signal to the transformer chip in the laptop motherboard. Then transformer chip sends signals to RJ45Connector and sends the RXD signal to the network chip.

Firstly, check whether proper drivers have been installed on the laptop operating system.
Secondly, check the RJ45 connector for broken or any damage to it. If it’s damaged or broken then replace it.
Thirdly, check the power coming on RJ45 and also check for the crystal’s clock frequency.
Finally, if everything else fails replace the network chip.
